Roaster: Ark Coffee Roasters

Ark Coffee

Ark is a carefully hand crafted specialty coffee roastery and retail store based in Auckland established in 2012 founded by two sisters who simply want to bring real quality coffee full of many characteristics and aroma to be enjoyed in the comfort of everyone’s homes.
It’s not about us but the coffees that we want to share with you and the quality time which you spend drinking these carefully handcrafted coffees which are our most importance and primary focus.
Story behind each bean is different and so is it’s flavour and aromas, and so is everyone’s choice of taste. We wanted to create a place where our customers can really get to know one coffee and help them find a brewing method that is most suited for their lifestyle to maximize their coffee drinking experiences.

We endeavour to continuously create exceptional coffee experiences for our customers.

Roaster: Kokako

Kōkako Organic Coffee is roasted in Auckland by our Head Roaster Sam McTavish. He roasts on a state of the art 25kg Probat roaster from Germany and is passionate about the craft of roasting and tasting coffee, with a depth of knowledge that spans the journey from crop to cup.

Quality is paramount to us. We work with various cooperatives and traders to source high quality green beans from specific origins where the flavour profiles match our expectations for a consistently well rounded cup of coffee that tastes exceptional.

We support this with third party Fairtrade and organic certification from Fairtrade New Zealand and Biogro NZ. Relationships throughout the supply chain are paramount to us – from the grower, to the co-op, traders,  certifiers, then to our roaster and our customers.

We cup our coffee twice a week at our dedicated roastery in Mt Eden – this ensures that every origin we buy and roast lives up to our exacting quality standards

Roaster: Three Beans

Three Beans is a boutique coffee roaster based in Auckland, combining knowledge, technique, and service to deliver a uniquely desirable cuppa.

Three Beans coffee can be distinguished from the rest – each batch is handpicked by owner Jonny McKessar, roasted in small batches to order and delivered fresh. With only two hands, and 12 hours of daylight, Jonny runs a dedicated team of coffee geeks constantly pursuing a product that reflects their passion.

Three Beans blends are not set in stone. Like fine wine, coffee origins have many different flavours and aromas, which can change over seasons, location and altitude – these are explored and optimised in our blends. Rest assured you can be certain you’ll get a great tasting coffee each time, wherever you are and whatever the weather.
